10/22/2001 Archived Entry "Birding Backyard action"

This morning the backyard had good bird action. There were several juncos and white-throated sparrows on the ground and a ruby-crowned kinglet laned on a shepherd's hook for a moment.

The other ususuals have been coming to the feeders I setup last weekend.
The local crowd feeding at our feeders include:

downey woodpecker
cardinal
white-breasted nuthatch
blue-jay
house finch
house sparrow
chickadee
tufted titmouse
mourning dove
grackle
