around 10:30 p.m. last night, Sun, Aug 10, the nws issued a hazardous weather outlook for the threat of heavy rainfall for today.

...flood warning remains in effect for lucas and wood counties until
300 pm edt...

at 1036 am edt...national weather service doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall had fallen across the warned
area. doppler radar estimated as much as three to five inches of rain
had fallen over the perrysburg area...with one to three inches in
surrounding communities. the runoff from this heavy rain will continue
to cause flooding even after the rain moves out of the area. additional
storms are possible through the afternoon. some locations that could
experience flooding include...bowling green...maumee...haskins...
northwood...and toledo.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. the water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. turn around...don`t drown!
